Occupational Health

Mark Leather Physiotherapy Ltd are actively involved in providing an occupational health provision to smaller, local employers as well as multinational companies and strongly believe that early intervention and active prevention is better than cure.

In 2017/18 the Health and Safety Executive reported that 469,000 working people in the UK suffered from a work-related musculoskeletal disorder which equated to 6.6 million working days lost.

By promoting an active approach to rehabilitation and implementing early intervention strategies an employer can significantly reduce the rehabilitation and absence period of an employee and reduce both work related absences and subsequent costs.

Our aims of Occupational Health are to promote and maintain the physical and psychological well-being of a company’s work force thus reducing employee absence and company costs whilst increasing productivity of its staff.

Implementing an active care pathway aims to integrate clinical and occupational concepts to facilitate an early return to work or maintain employee presence through adaption of their working environment or role.

There are a number of services which Mark leather Physiotherapy Ltd can be provide under the umbrella of occupational health. These include;

  • Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessment.
  • Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE).
  • In house physiotherapy.
  • Information seminars / workshops.
