FUNCTION CAPACITY EVALUATIONS

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is applicable to employees working in manual handling roles where repetitive physical exertion / tasks are carried out. 

The aim of a FCE is to highlight any physical issues which may become problematic and restrict an employee’s ability to continue in their role on a permanent basis. Following a FCE of a proportion of the workforce, preventative measures and advice can be put in place to help reduce the risk of the employees encountering musculoskeletal disorders.
